(Lindsay’s body temperature was recorded at the hospital at 82 degrees, something that has been pointed out to be suspiciously low for only being outside in the snow less than a hour.)
The prosecution called Reddington’s argument “laughable,” saying Lindsay was the only adult in the home with the children at the time of the killings, and how she told a hospital chaplain afterward that she had hallucinations and was happy the kids were safer now.
“There is plenty of information to support the essential elements of the charges of murder,” prosecutor Jennifer Sprague argued to Judge William Sullivan, who said he would consider both sides.
The trial, which started in July, took over social media with people sharing their own stories of postpartum psychosis, while others spewed conspiracy theories that the husband was the one who actually killed their three children. Patrick Clancy said the conspiracy theories are “deeply harmful to the legacy” of his children.
“It is a huge distraction from what really matters here, which is perinatal mental health,” he said earlier this month in a “60 Minutes” interview. “And it’s done real harm to real people, myself included but also others.”
