SUSSEX BILLIONAIRE BACKER EXPOSED — IAN WACE REPORTEDLY HELPED FUND HARRY & MEGHAN’S UK RETURN AS MEDIA LINKS RAISE EYEBROWS!

A billionaire hedge-fund titan is now at the center of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s dramatic return to Britain — and the web of money, friendship and media connections surrounding him is impossible to ignore.

LONDON — Harry and Meghan’s move back to the United Kingdom was sold as a family reset: British schools for Archie and Lilibet, more time near King Charles, and a fresh base after six years in California. But a far more intriguing figure has now emerged behind the scenes — Ian Wace, the billionaire financier who reportedly helped make the move possible.

Page Six reported that two sources said Wace was providing financial and practical support for the Sussex relocation. The outlet stressed that he is not believed to be paying for the couple’s entire British life, but the revelation immediately raises an obvious question: why does a couple that spent years preaching financial independence need a billionaire benefactor to smooth their return to the country they walked away from?

The Billionaire Behind the Sussex Return

Ian Wace is no minor society friend. He is the co-founder and chief executive of Marshall Wace, one of London’s most powerful hedge-fund firms, and Page Six estimated his fortune at around $1.2 billion. Harry and Meghan have known him for years, and their connection is not a last-minute arrangement cooked up for the move back to Britain.

The relationship has a deeply personal dimension. Wace suffered an unimaginable tragedy in 1994 when his first wife and their two young children were killed in a road crash. Harry, of course, lost his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in a car crash three years later. Friends have described that shared experience of devastating loss as one of the bonds between the two men.

The Sussexes were also reported to have visited Wace’s private Scottish island, Tanera Mòr, during their summer trip to Britain. Meghan has long-standing links to Wace’s former wife, model Saffron Aldridge, and the couples were photographed attending a Cirque du Soleil performance together in London in 2019. This is not a stranger writing a cheque. It is a wealthy friend with years of access to the Sussex circle.

Money, Access — and an Awkward Media Connection

This is where the story becomes far more uncomfortable. Wace founded Marshall Wace with Sir Paul Marshall, who is also a major investor in GB News and the owner of The Spectator. That does not prove a conspiracy. It does, however, create a chain of relationships that deserves scrutiny when commentators suddenly claim they are seeing a softer tone toward Harry and Meghan in parts of the British media.
