She described the staircase incident as a tragic accident manipulated by a confused child and a resentful maid.
She said Eleanor attacked her during an argument.
She accused Daniel of exploiting the video to escape an unhappy marriage.
Edited clips appeared online showing Vanessa crying during charity events and comforting Lily at school.
Headlines asked whether a six-year-old could understand what she recorded.
Anonymous accounts called Rosa an opportunist.
Then someone released Rosa’s home address.
Daniel wanted to publish every piece of evidence immediately.
Detective Ortiz stopped him.
“The criminal case is not a public argument you can win through volume.”
Lily’s advocate also refused to let the child appear before cameras.
Daniel issued one statement:
“My daughter’s safety and my mother’s recovery are not entertainment. Evidence will be presented in court.”
Eleanor chose to speak once from the hospital.
She sat upright despite pain and looked directly at the camera.
“My age does not make my memory disposable. My granddaughter told the truth. The employees Vanessa threatened told the truth. Calm denial does not outweigh recorded evidence.”

She accepted only after the program guaranteed her son could remain independent rather than becoming indebted to Daniel.
The distinction mattered.
Vanessa had used housing, jobs, and legal uncertainty to make loyalty feel compulsory.
Protection could not repeat the same dependency with a kinder person in control.
The public trust later created an emergency fund managed by worker representatives, not executives. Employees facing retaliation could obtain housing and legal help without asking the family they were reporting.
