CHAPTER 1 — THE ACCUSATION
The impact came first.
The housekeeper slammed against the wall.
Cleaning supplies crashed across the marble floor.
The sound echoed through the luxury hotel corridor.
"You were in his room!"
The accusation rang out so loudly that nearby guests immediately turned.
The young housekeeper struggled to catch her breath.
Shaking.
Terrified.
"I was told to clean..."
Her voice barely existed.
Fragile.
Broken.
But the wealthy woman wasn't finished.
"Then why did you lock the door?!"
The question hit harder than the shove.
Phones appeared.
Whispers spread.
Guests gathered.
Watching.
Judging.
The housekeeper stood completely alone.
Humiliated in front of everyone.
