The silence was broken by the sound of a chair moving.
SCRAPE.
A man in an elegant dark suit stood up from a corner table.
He had been sitting alone.
Watching.

Without saying a word, he walked toward the counter.
The employee immediately changed his attitude.
"Sir, how may I help you?"
But the man ignored him.

The boy still stood there holding his coins.

"Pack everything."
The employee blinked.
"Excuse me?"
"Everything."
The room froze.
Every cake.
Every pastry.
Every loaf of bread.
The employee nervously laughed.
"Sir... that's impossible."
The man slowly placed a black card on the counter.
The employee's smile vanished.
The card alone was enough.
No one argued.
No one questioned him.
Then the man looked at Mateo and smiled.
"Come with me."
For the first time that day, the boy looked up.
