Investigators reconstructed Samuel’s final evening.
At 6:40 p.m., Shaw administered the sedative in Samuel’s study under the pretense of checking his blood pressure.
At 7:05, Samuel entered the library carrying the trust amendment and Ardent report.
Julian followed.
The hidden camera began recording automatically.
The argument lasted eleven minutes.
Samuel said the merger was over. Julian said thousands of employees would blame him. Samuel answered that leadership did not permit sacrificing patients to protect valuation.
Julian demanded Mara’s removal.
Samuel refused.
Then he revealed the emergency trust structure.
If he died or became incapacitated during an unresolved safety investigation, Mara would receive temporary voting authority and Protocol Nine would activate upon coercion.
Julian reached for the folder.
Samuel pulled it away.
The physical struggle began.
The camera captured Julian gripping Samuel’s wrist, but a shelf blocked the railing. Audio recorded the impact.
Samuel remained conscious after the fall.
Julian called Shaw before emergency services.
Shaw arrived with a medical bag and gave another injection.
Eleanor entered afterward.
The six-minute gap she remembered was not confusion. It was the time Julian and Shaw used to search Samuel’s pockets and stage the scene.
Samuel had already moved the black card to Mara’s office.
At the hospital, he woke twice.
The second time, he whispered “not again” to Eleanor.
He was referring to the family’s habit of protecting Julian from consequences.
Eleanor understood only after the same words escaped her at dinner.
The prosecution charged Julian with murder, conspiracy, obstruction and corporate fraud.
Shaw faced related charges under his cooperation agreement.
The library was sealed as a crime scene.
Eleanor asked to enter once before trial.
