Adrian entered family court wearing a navy suit and a small bandage over the puncture mark on his palm.
His lawyer described him as a devoted future father publicly humiliated after attempting to stop a child’s violent episode.
June played camera fourteen.
The courtroom heard Adrian threaten Redmont and explain why adults would believe him over Noah.
The lawyer called it “firm parenting language taken out of context.”
June played the toy-watch recording.
The lawyer claimed Noah had been coached to press the button.
June produced the time stamp.
It was recorded before Claire knew any threat existed.
Dr. Latham testified that Noah suffered from oppositional behavior and fantasy-based attachment to his deceased father.
June asked whether Adrian paid him.
Latham admitted Cross Meridian covered all therapy costs.
“Did you ever interview Noah without Mr. Cross receiving a summary?”
“No.”
“Did you tell the child his mother wanted him sent away?”
“I helped him prepare for a possible transition.”
“You lied to him.”
“I used therapeutic framing.”
The judge removed his reports from consideration pending professional review.
Noah spoke privately in chambers.
He did not have to face Adrian.
When he returned, he looked exhausted but steady.
The judge froze the Bennett trust, suspended the forged adoption petition, and issued a protective order barring Adrian from contact with Claire and Noah.
Adrian showed no emotion until the judge mentioned criminal referral.
Then his calm cracked.
He stood.
“This woman is destroying a hospital because her son threw a tantrum.”
Claire looked at him.
“No. You built a plan that required everyone to call the truth a tantrum.”
The bailiff ordered Adrian to sit.
