The prosecution played the CCTV recording during Adrian’s bail hearing.
His attorneys argued privacy, chain of custody, and hotel policy.
The judge allowed it.
The image flickered across the courtroom monitor: Adrian planning the incident, Margaret retreating, Simone planting evidence, Noah approaching with Michael’s letter, and the throw.
No one called it confusing anymore.
Adrian stared at the screen as though the man in the tuxedo were a stranger who had borrowed his face.
The judge revoked bail.
Charges expanded to child assault, conspiracy, attempted fraud, evidence tampering, witness intimidation, arson, and forgery.
Simone accepted a plea agreement.
Lucas cooperated.
Dr. Latham lost his license pending criminal review.
Margaret resigned from every Bennett organization and faced prosecution for conspiracy and obstruction.
The public apology came from Claire, not because she owed the public one, but because the foundation had helped Adrian create authority around his lies.
She stood outside Saint Anne’s Hospital with June beside her.
“My son was treated as unreliable because he was young,” Claire said. “I was treated as unstable because I was emotional. Adrian was treated as credible because he remained calm while causing the fear everyone else displayed.”
She did not release the footage of Noah hitting the floor.
The public had enough evidence.
Her child did not owe strangers his worst moment.
At the hotel, the ballroom remained closed.
The gilded clock had stopped at 4:09—the exact minute the ceremony ended.
Maya asked whether Claire wanted it repaired.
