Its original ruling accused him of negligent maintenance and permanently revoked his certification. That finding had destroyed his ability to work before his stroke.
Grace submitted the invoice, recording and forensic report.
Former coworkers testified that Samuel repeatedly warned management about unauthorized vehicle modules. Grant ordered them to avoid written discussion.
The board cleared Samuel unanimously.
It also issued an apology to his family.
Grace stood at the hearing holding the mechanic’s old name badge. The apology sounded formal and late.
She accepted it without pretending it was enough.
Whitmore Adaptive Systems created the Samuel Miller Engineering Integrity Fund, but Grace insisted the money come from recovered executive bonuses rather than charitable donations.
The fund protected technicians who refused unsafe instructions.
Its first award went to a mechanic who stopped deployment of faulty wheelchair batteries despite pressure to meet a launch deadline.
Grace completed her degree and became an independent mobility specialist. She no longer wore the pale-blue household uniform.
On Noah’s seventeenth birthday, she visited as a guest.
