Maya interviewed Noah across four sessions.
He chose Grace and an independent child advocate to remain nearby. Daniel waited outside unless Noah requested him.
The story emerged slowly.
Rain struck the windshield as Claire drove toward the bridge. A warning light flashed and disappeared. The brake pedal became soft.
Claire called Daniel.
The call went to voicemail.
She then called Grant.
Noah heard her say the brakes were failing and ask whether the vehicle had been altered during inspection.
Grant told her to pull over near the bridge maintenance gate.
A dark SUV was waiting there.
Claire’s vehicle struck the barrier before reaching it and rolled down the slope. She remained conscious. Noah could not move his legs.
Grant came down wearing Claire’s red emergency coat over his suit because of the rain.
Claire accused him of stealing from the trust.
Grant said the company would collapse if Noah inherited control and Daniel would never approve the sale while she lived.
Claire reached for her phone.
Grant took it.
Noah remembered his uncle opening the passenger door, looking directly at him and realizing he was awake.
Grant said, “You hit your head. You will not remember this.”
Claire tried to pull herself from the driver’s side.
Grant walked back up the slope.
He did not call emergency services for thirteen minutes.
By the time paramedics arrived, Claire had lost too much blood.
Noah blamed himself for remaining silent. He could not reach the phone or move his body. In the hospital, Grant warned him Daniel’s heart would “stop like Mom’s” if he repeated the story.
Maya asked how Noah knew the red coat belonged to Claire.
He described a torn pocket sewn with white thread.
Police later found the coat in Grant’s former security vehicle. It had been cleaned but retained Claire’s blood near the inner cuff.
Grant said he took it from the scene to protect family property.
The evidence showed he had been present before emergency responders.
The official crash report listed him as arriving afterward.
