The Aurelia Tiara Leaves the Family

Chapter 16 - The Aurelia Tiara Leaves the Family

The Aurelia Tiara belonged to no single claimant family.

Its diamonds came from twenty-seven documented sources, with several still unidentified.

The council considered dismantling it and returning individual stones.

Some descendants wanted that.

Others believed separation would destroy evidence of the shared history.

After months of discussion, the families chose collective ownership.

The tiara would remain in a rotating exhibition governed by their representatives, not the Marlowe Museum.

The central blue diamond and microfilm mechanism stayed intact.

Clara had no special claim.

She supported the decision.

At the transfer ceremony, Amelia asked whether Clara wanted to wear it one final time.

“No.”

The answer came easily.

The tiara had been placed on her head by a man using her and seized by a woman claiming authority.

Its beauty did not belong on her body to complete the story.

The representative council carried it away inside a plain conservation case.
