The employee board considered selling it to restore pensions.
Some workers wanted the estate destroyed.
Others argued the property could generate income under cooperative management.
Rosa proposed converting it into a training center, worker-owned hotel, and public conference site.
The pool became the symbol everyone debated.
Victoria requested permission to attend the planning meeting.
Workers allowed her to speak for five minutes.
“I used that pool as a stage,” she said. “I threw evidence into it because I believed the day belonged to me. I do not think I should decide what it becomes.”
She left before the vote.
The board drained the pool temporarily and inspected the hidden archive access. A glass walkway was built above part of the old pump chamber so visitors could see how luxury concealed records.
The pool was then refilled and opened for community use.
No plaque marked where the phone landed.
Rosa refused to turn one woman’s worst act into a permanent attraction.
The training exhibit focused on pension rights, evidence preservation, and delegated power.
The recovered phone remained in a secure archive.
