She redesigned Samuel’s public image.
He became the modern heir willing to rescue an old family company from sentimental management. Serena became the elegant advocate for Pierce Foundation causes.
Behind the scenes, she negotiated the Northline deal.
Northline promised her control of foundation properties worth hundreds of millions. Several properties had been donated for employee housing, addiction recovery and hospitality scholarships.
Serena planned to sell them.
The gala was supposed to celebrate a new mental-health initiative. She selected Evelyn’s table, seating and drink service.

The strongest evidence came from her own phone.
Immediately after Evelyn collapsed, Serena sent Northline’s managing partner one sentence:
SHE FINISHED IT. BEGIN TRANSFER.
The transfer had already begun.
Northline lawyers filed documents with banks and trust custodians before Evelyn reached the hospital. They expected an incapacity order to arrive later.
Instead, the trust froze every transaction automatically when Dr. Ortiz activated the white-glass protocol.
Serena’s green dress appeared in countless news photographs the next morning.
Commentators described her as the glamorous wife behind an attempted corporate murder.
