Grace had one more piece of evidence.
She removed her phone and opened a saved voicemail.
“I did not record her secretly,” Grace said. “She left this herself.”
Adrian nodded for her to play it.
Celeste moved forward.
“Do not.”
The word exposed her fear.
Grace pressed the screen.
Celeste’s voice filled the ballroom.
Take the settlement and disappear. After the wedding, Oliver goes to boarding school. Adrian will be too busy with the merger to fight me, and the trust becomes manageable once the child is no longer in the house.

Adrian stared at Celeste.
Celeste had studied every clause.
