Celeste claimed the voicemail was edited.
She said Grace had spent months preparing revenge. She accused the catering company of helping stage Oliver’s run and the shattered champagne tower.
The Grand Meridian used overhead security cameras to monitor high-value displays. The manager played the footage privately for Adrian, Grace, Celeste, and security.
It showed Oliver emerging from a side corridor.
Behind him, Celeste’s personal assistant closed the door to the children’s lounge.
Oliver pounded on it once.
No one opened it.
He turned, saw Grace across the ballroom, and ran.
The footage also showed Celeste notice him before the crash.
She did not move to help.
She signaled her assistant to intercept Grace.
The assistant arrived too late.
Adrian watched his son search a crowded room for one safe face.
Grace had not summoned him.
She had not even seen him until he shouted her name.
Celeste looked at the screen.
“Oliver was having a tantrum.”
Adrian’s eyes went cold.
“He was locked in a room.”
“For ten minutes.”
“He is seven.”
Celeste folded her arms.
“You cannot reorganize your entire life every time he cries.”
