Nathan’s hidden amendment changed the succession battle.
Lily did not inherit Mercer Bank as private property.
Because Evelyn used fraud and violence against a legal heir, controlling shares transferred into a public stewardship trust. Lily would receive financial security and a permanent seat when she became an adult, but no individual could sell the institution or use it as a political weapon.

Lily sat beside her holding Grace’s brooch.

No executive found an answer suitable for a child.
The trustees approved restitution.
Julian surrendered his personal trust distribution to the victims’ fund. Commentators praised the act as redemption.
He rejected the word.
“Redemption is not an announcement,” he said. “It is whether I continue when no one is filming.”
Ava respected the answer.
She still did not restore the wedding.
