Chloe opened Ryan’s briefcase.
Chloe removed the cream medical packet, a transaction binder, and a small encrypted drive.
“The board packet is false,” she said. “The medical letter was created from notes Ryan copied from Victoria’s physician portal.”
Victoria’s stomach turned.
Ryan had known her password because she trusted him with emergency access.
Chloe placed the drive beside the documents.
“This contains the buyer communications and the consulting agreement.”
Ryan’s voice became low and dangerous.
“You signed it too.”
“Yes.”
“So you go down with me.”
Chloe looked at Victoria.
“I understand.”
Martin remained on speaker.
“Do not alter or open the drive,” he instructed. “Place it in view and leave it untouched until law enforcement or forensic counsel receives it.”
Chloe obeyed.
Mark and Olivia each gave verbal accounts of what Ryan had ordered them to prepare.
