Daniel Rowan appeared before the Northstar board.
He denied ordering the helicopter crash.
He admitted controlling Jack’s rehabilitation, claiming his brother was medically unstable and vulnerable to manipulation. He said Claire’s financial claim threatened the company during a critical government contract.
Board members asked why he produced death certificates for living children.
Daniel blamed Northstar security.
Why was the farewell video edited?
Medical privacy.
Why did he use Jack’s signature to renounce paternity?
Legal necessity during incapacity.
Each answer described fraud as administration.
Investigator Ortiz presented financial records.
Two days before the crash, Daniel purchased an insurance policy covering Northstar losses if Jack became unavailable. He also paid a contractor whose aircraft had entered the test zone immediately before Jack’s helicopter lost navigation.
The contractor was Aegis Response Group.
Flight data showed a remote command entered Jack’s prototype system using Daniel’s executive credential.
The helicopter received a false terrain warning and turned toward the ridge where it crashed.
Daniel said the credential had been compromised.
Then Nora produced a recording from Helix.
Daniel spoke with Dr. Voss beside Jack’s bed.
“If he remembers Claire, the trust collapses. Keep the story consistent until the death order clears.”
The board suspended him unanimously.
Federal prosecutors prepared conspiracy, fraud, kidnapping and attempted-murder charges.
Daniel called Jack directly despite a no-contact order.
“You think Claire wants you? She wants what your name gives those girls.”
Jack recorded the call.
“Claire protected them before she knew I was alive.”
“You always were sentimental.”
“No. I was trusting. That is why you needed me damaged.”
Daniel hung up.
