The File Called Invisible

Chapter 11 - The File Called Invisible
Federal investigators traced Bianca’s threat to Victor’s private server.
Inside was a folder named INVISIBLE.
It contained profiles of vulnerable residents whose identities could be used for fake billing. Death certificates. Medical histories. Photographs. Family contacts.
People reduced to useful data because few relatives would ask questions.
Lena found Ruth’s sister Evelyn in the folder.
Evelyn had been dead for decades.
Victor used her identity to open one of the first shell accounts, knowing Ruth rarely discussed the past publicly.
Nathan nearly struck him during the arrest.
Ruth stopped him.
“Do not let him turn your love into evidence against you.”
Victor was charged with fraud, conspiracy, identity theft, and obstruction.
