The Camera Network

Chapter 11 - The Camera Network
Daniel’s external archive contained forty camera feeds.
Most recorded nothing criminal.
That ordinary footage mattered. It established timestamps, access patterns and attempts to disable the system.
One feed showed Graham’s assistant entering Daniel’s office after the crash and removing hard drives.
Another showed Orion contractors replacing Victor’s medication locker.
A third captured Dr. Malcolm Voss discussing how to make confusion appear progressive rather than sudden.
The camera network raised privacy questions.
Daniel had recorded employees and guests without full notice.
Claire supported limits on how the archive could be used. Evidence of crimes entered court. Unrelated private footage was deleted under independent supervision.
Daniel’s good intent did not make unlimited surveillance acceptable.
The company created a new policy: transparent cameras, restricted access and independent warrants for private review.
